Wounded Warrior Project
The mission of Wounded Warrior Project is to honor and empower wounded warriors by raising awareness, helping injured service members aid and assist each other and providing programs and services to meet the needs of injured service members.
Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) serves veterans and service members who incurred a physical or mental injury, illness, or wound, co-incident to their military service on or after September 11, 2001 and their families. On that date, America watched in horror as approximately 3,000 people died including hundreds of firefighters and rescue workers. Many warriors note a sense of duty to volunteer for the military following these tragic events.
Everyone’s recovery process is different. Depending where you are in your own rehabilitative and transitional process, we hope you find a program that fits you and/or your family’s needs.
Remember, you are not alone in this journey. Whether you are newly injured or have been on the path to recovery for a while, WWP is here to support you as you define your new normal. Please explore our programs for veterans below.
Thank you for helping injured warriors and their families rebuild their lives by supporting Wounded Warrior Project®. Your gift will help injured warriors continue the long healing process and provide assistance to their caregivers and families.
